Les Wallam, Chief Executive Officer
Les is a former ‘Roelands kid’, a legend for the number of times he ran away from the Mission. Les is responsible for the overall running of Woolkabunning Kiaka Inc and the Roelands Village. Les works on a largely voluntary basis and under the guidance of the WKI Committee and the Strategic Plan 2020, to build the operational base for WKI/Roelands moving into the future. Les has a long-standing and successful career in government, community-controlled organisations, and in the education and training sector.
Nicole Wallam, Senior Administration Officer and Local Outback Academy Coordinator
Nicole Wallam provides administration support, including financial and other business record-keeping, for Woolkabunning Kiaka Inc. Nicole also supports the communications and governance record-keeping for the WKI Committee. Nicole has performed this role largely voluntarily. In 2014 Nicole will also take on an Outback Academy Local Coordination role for Roelands Village based education and training programs as a result of a successful pilot in 2013. Nicole brings her training, qualifications and experience to this vital role for WKI.
Clare O’Kelly (Business Development and Partnerships)
Clare O’Kelly through All-iN Productions and the Outback Academy has worked with WKI for nearly three years at the request of Syd Jackson a former colleague, Les Wallam, and the WKI Committee. This is a largely pro-bono role endorsed by the Committee for business development and partnership building, including with the Outback Academy and Red Dust Heelers, disability focused programs.
