The Woolkabunning Kiaka Committee of Management includes former residents and family members, and is supported by an ex-officio team of advisors and Allens Linklater for legal governance matters.
Chairperson
Peter Woods is a former resident of Roelands Mission. Today Peter works tirelessly and voluntarily to keep the Roelands Village environment healthy and looking great, while also attending to WKI Committee business. Peter’s dream is to see children and young people again in the Village, but this time under the guidance and support of their Elders and community as they learn more about their culture, the arts, and build skills for education and employment.
Vice Chairperson
Kevin Ugle is a former resident of Roelands Village. Kevin brings a strong commitment to healing the former Mission, past residents and family members. Kevin like other residents brings mixed feelings about the former Mission, but a passion for seeing the farm and Village used for healing and other positive purposes today.
Secretary
Janine Williams is a Gnaala Karla Booja woman and the daughter of a former resident of Roelands Mission, Les Wallam. Janine brings her experience and training in governance and community-cultural education to the Committee with a strong respect for the experiences and needs of former residents and their family members.
Treasurer
Lee Hart is the son of a former resident, Kerron Hart. Lee is a Gnaala Karla Booja man who has voluntarily provided Roelands Mission property upkeep and management skills during the build to divestment period. Lee is nearing completion of his qualification in building construction and is also undertaking training in farm management.
